My wife and I booked a private yoga session as it was our first time and I knew I would need lots of guidance. Nicole took the session and I can't express enough how great a teacher she is and what an inspiration she in terms of her fitness levels. I need to do yoga to stop my body declining with a history of sporting injuries but yoga is really something out of my comfort zone and the wrong teacher could have really put me off persuing this. Nicole was able to observe if we werent quite working the correct muscle groups and she could guide us in alternative methods to suit our newby bodies. She really has inspired us and gave me confidence that I can persue this. So much so that we have already booked 20 private sessions when we get home.
Ubud house is an amazing setting with welcoming staff and a lovely cat who is the boss of the place. I can't recommend Nicole and Yoga House enough, especially for people looking to start out on their yoga journey.

We joined a beginners yoga class and it was an excellent experience to understand the limits of our bodies without feeling any obligation, Arik always reminded us to do the yoga moves as much as our bodies allow. It was also good to see the Balinese version of yoga practice. Welcome and goodbye drink, refreshing napkins were such a good idea in this hot weather and after practice. The building and yoga saloon was so beautiful designed inside the nature. There was a chicken watching us doing yoga. I couldn’t see the cat but I loved the signs about their cat, I have a similar ginger cat too. After 3 days from our yoga class I still feel it in my calves because I haven’t done any practice lately. I think it means even beginners class is a bit challenging exercise, it is not a simple touristy activity. Thank you Arik, I enjoyed a lot and thinking about starting a yoga class when I turn back to my country.

I have never tried yoga before but I wanted to try in Bali. First I was impressed the place itself. Even if I would come only to see the atmosphere, I would leave very satisfied. Not only the yoga for beginners was a little challenging but also it was very relaxing. The instructor Arik was kind, gentle and encouraging. At the end of the yoga she let us just lay down, I felt so relaxed and serene that I fell asleep at sarasana. Totally recommended.

Very peaceful and sooo close to the nature. Sunrise and sunset classes are a must do!! They tend to be crowded so arrive a bit early to secure your place. I loved the tropical view, the kindness of the reception, the flow of the local teacher, the community vibe, the cute cat! The most “Balinese” local-vibe studio I have tried in Ubud
